FOSTER CARE TEAM SUPERVISOR-LASALLE
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for a Foster Care Team Supervisor in LaSalle. Responsibilities include overseeing day to day work of family workers and family support workers providing support, information and back-up, while ensuring quality and timely delivery of service; providing consultation and supervision to staff to facilitate problem solving on service delivery issues; working collaboratively with biological parents, foster parents, and other community resources; monitoring timeliness and quality of necessary paperwork and documentation, and providing technical assistance. Must be approved by DCFS background check, have valid driver’s license and insurance, become a licensed child welfare service provider, be computer knowledgeable and provide on-call service periodically. Position requires MSW from an accredited school of social work, or an acceptable degree approved by DCFS in a human service field and two years of full time experience in the social work setting. YOUTH, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH SERVICES ON-CALL ADVOCATE-MACOMB
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions Macomb has openings for On-Call Youth Advocates. Responsibilities include on-call response to families in crisis, direct contact with youth, completion of paperwork, linkages and referrals. Position requires candidate to be at least 21 years of age, and possess a minimum of high school diploma. FOSTER CARE FAMILY WORKER – CHAMPAIGN
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for a Foster Care Family Worker in Champaign. Responsibilities include transporting foster children and other agency clients; supervising visits; acting as a liaison between families, court and service providers, developing and delivering family centered services; documenting all services provided; completing integrated assessments and Client Service Plans according to policy dictated timelines; attending all pertinent meetings; conducting biological and foster family home visits; providing initial and ongoing assessments; empowering families in working toward established goals; demonstrating knowledge and competency of DCFS policies and procedures; dressing as a professional representative of The Center for Youth and Family Solutions, whether in the community or office, and appropriate for the activity; demonstrating competence in serving a culturally diverse population and demonstrating ability to work collaboratively with a diverse work force; and willingness and ability to work after hours and weekends and respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours. Position requires Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Services as per current DCFS Licensing standards. Must meet requirements to become Licensed Direct Child Welfare Service Provider, pass DCFS background check, possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and three years of driving experience. Responsibilities include assisting foster care direct service workers in service delivery by transporting clients and other agency clients to necessary visits, court dates, or other appointments to meet treatment goals; supervising parent/child visitation, acting as a liaison between the family worker, foster families and/or biological parents; communicating client concerns to assigned family worker; providing advocacy and mentoring services for children and families, as directed by family worker/team supervisors; completing necessary documentation to comply with state, federal, and agency requirements; assisting with foster parent recruitment activities. Position requires a high school diploma, previous social service experience, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, ability to pass a DCFS Background Check and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. FOSTER CARE LICENSING WORKER – CHAMPAIGN
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for a Foster Care Licensing Worker in Champaign. Responsibilities include evaluating potential foster parents and coordinate licensing activities for eligible applicants; monitoring foster care homes and completing home studies; evaluating resource services delivered to ensure services are meeting long-term objectives of the agency, meeting standards of time and cost efficiencies, and are sensitive to the cultural differences in the service population; completing licensing investigations as requested by the supervisor; actively recruiting new foster care homes to the agency by attending events, taking phone calls, talking with referrals, and/or presenting speeches to raise awareness of the benefits of being a foster care home and the need for foster parents; assisting caseworkers and other staff in placement of children into foster homes; supporting foster parents through newsletter articles, support groups, and/or other necessary services; assisting in finding the most appropriate foster home for a child needing placement; and arranging respite for foster parents as needed. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or human service related field, ability to pass DCFS background check, possession of a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and three years’ driving experience.
