FOSTER CARE FAMILY WORKER-CHAMPAIGN
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for Foster Care Family Worker in Champaign. Responsibilities include transporting foster children and other agency clients, supervise visits, act as a liaison between families, court and service providers, develop and deliver family centered services, document all services provided, complete integrated assessments and Client Service Plans according to policy dictated time lines, attend all pertinent meetings, conduct biological and foster family home visits, provide initial and ongoing assessments, empower families in working toward established goals; demonstrate knowledge and competency of DCFS policies and procedures; dress as a professional representative of The Center for Youth and Family Solutions, whether in the community or office, and appropriate for the activity; demonstrate competence in servicing a culturally diverse population and demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with a diverse work force, willingness and ability to work after hours and weekends and respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours. Position requires Bachelor’s degree in social work or human services degree as per current DCFS Licensing standards. Must meet requirements to become Licensed Direct Child Welfare Service Provider, pass DCFS background check, possess a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and three years driving experience. FOSTER CARE TEAM SUPERVISOR-CHAMPAIGN
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for a Foster Care Team Supervisor in Champaign. Responsibilities include overseeing day to day work of family workers and family support workers providing support, information and back-up, while ensuring quality and timely delivery of service. Provide consultation and supervision to staff to facilitate problem solving on service delivery issues. Work collaboratively with biological parents, foster parents and other community resources. Monitor timeliness and quality of necessary paperwork and documentation, and provide technical assistance. Must be approved by DCFS background check, have valid driver’s license and insurance, become a licensed child welfare worker, be computer knowledgeable and provide on-call service periodically. Position requires MSW from an accredited school of social work, or an acceptable degree approved by DCFS in a human service field and two years of full time experience in the social work setting. Supervisor experience preferred. Submit cover letter, resume and three letters of reference no later than March 13, 2015. EOE
