FOSTER CARE FAMILY SUPPORT WORKER-PEORIA
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for a Family Support Worker in Peoria. Responsibilities include assisting foster care direct service workers in service delivery by transporting clients and other agency clients to necessary visits, court dates, or other appointments to meet treatment goals; supervising parent/child visitation, acting as a liaison between the family worker, foster families and/or biological parents; communicating client concerns to assigned family worker; providing advocacy and mentoring services for children and families, as directed by family worker/team supervisors; completing necessary documentation to comply with state, federal, and agency requirements; assisting with foster parent recruitment activities and assisting with other support work.  Work schedule for this position includes evening hours and some weekends. Position requires a high school diploma, previous social service experience, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, ability to pass a DCFS Background Check and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. GUARDIAN ANGEL HOME RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR – MORTON
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions has an opening for full time, second shift Residential Counselor. Responsibilities include the capacity to accept supervision within the child care program and to relate constructively to authority, ability to respond to client concerns with empathy, demonstrate responsible behavior and reliability, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, ability to multi-task, strong understating of cultural differences, ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing with diverse populations, and possess basic computer skills. Candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, proof of insurance, and three years driving experience. Increased starting salary. Must be able to pass a DCFS background check. Preference given to candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or MHP with 5 years of experience in human services field.
