Family Fun Day takes place at Spinder Park

EAST PEORIA — As Jim Frost watched children play at Spinder Park July 22, he reflected back to his own childhood. “I know how these kids feel. I grew up poor in a basement in a Creve Coeur house,” Frost, a police lieutenant with the Fon du Lac Park District, said. A Family Fun Day took place to celebrate the end of a three-week camp in which 31 children from the Richland Farms participated. Food, prizes and bounce houses were part of the festivities (more)..
