Most contacts start with a call to the local office. Our receptionist will connect you with a master’s-level intake counselor who will help determine, first the degree of urgency for your situation and second whether the agency’s counseling services are likely to be helpful.

If it is determined that some other service will be more helpful, the intake counselor will attempt to provide you with referral information for that service.

If counseling services are likely to be helpful, we will do our best to schedule an appointment at a time that is convenient to you as quickly as possible so that we can thoroughly explore your concerns. With your permission, we may ask to involve other family members or others close to you to support your treatment goals. Each case is assessed on an individual basis. Sometimes individual therapy is the best approach. But as we live in relationship systems and families, couples, marital, or family therapy is often the approach of choice.
